Successful 2012 Fire Expo
The 2012 Fire Expo held this past weekend was a huge success. KME Fire Apparatus had sixteen (16) trucks on display which included the Port Norris N.J. Mack Granite, 3000 gallon elliptical tender sold by Fred Hundt of F.P.E.V.
The F.P.E.V fire division sales team was represented and we had a great time speaking with our customers. It’s always nice to make new friends and speak with those friends who have been loyal customers over the years.
KME had several commercial chassis on hand with Ford, International and Mack being represented. The KME custom chassis line was totally represented with the Panther, Predator and Severe Service chassis.
Also on hand was KME’s new custom pumper that has 496 cubic feet of compartmentation. This unit is on a KME Predator chassis and is powered by a MaxxForce 13, 450hp 13 litre engine paired with an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. It’s not a typo, I said a 3000EVS trans with a bid block motor!
THe KME 496 will be in New Jersey for a brief demo tour before heading to the New York Fire Chiefs show. If you want to see this truck feel free to drop me an e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I will do everything I can to get it to your fire station. This unit is available for immediate delivery and is attractively priced at $429,000.00!
